RABBI BERLAND'S PRAYER AFTER LIGHTING SHABBOS CANDLES #234 PRAYER AFTER LIGHTING THE SHABBOS CANDLES MASTER OF THE WORLD, WHO CAN DO ANYTHING, IN THE MERIT OF LIGHTING THE SHABBOS CANDLES, THROUGH WHICH I DREW DOWN THE ENDLESS LIGHT (OHR AIN SOF), AND THE LIGHT OF THE SEVEN DAYS [OF CREATION] INTO MY HOME, MAY I MERIT THAT ALL THE MEMBERS OF MY HOUSE, MY HUSBAND, SONS AND DAUGHTERS, ALL OF THEM WILL SEE THE ENDLESS LIGHT (OHR AIN SOF), AND THE LIGHT OF THE SEVEN DAYS, WHICH I DREW DOWN IN TO MY HOME. And may all the members of my house merit immediately after lighting the candles the true pleasure of Shabbos, and feel the Shabbos in a palpable way, until it’s possible to really feel the Shabbos, like it says, “to make the Shabbos” through Shabbos songs and words of Torah. And all the tables that I set for the honor of Shabbos will be filled with succulent and sharp words of Torah, and the whole table will continue this way for several hours, and through Shabbos songs, songs and praises of Shabbos, “if I said my leg will stumble, the kindness of Hashem will support me, when much foreboding was within me, your comforts cheered my soul”. ==== #234 תְּפִילָה לְאַחַר הַדְלָקַת נֵרוֹת שַׁבָּת קוֹדֶשׁ רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם כֹּל יָכוֹל, בִּזְכוּת הַדְלָקַת נֵרוֹת שֶׁל שַׁבָּת, שֶׁעַל יְדֵי זֶה הִמְשַׁכְתִּי אֶת אוֹר הַאֵין סוֹף, וְאֶת אוֹר שִׁבְעַת הַיָּמִים לְתוֹךְ בֵּיתִי, זַכֵּנִי שֶׁכָּל בְּנֵי בֵּיתִי, בַּעְלִי, בָּנַי וּבְנוֹתַי, כֻּלָּם יִרְאוּ אֶת אוֹר הַאֵין סוֹף, וְאֶת אוֹר שִׁבְעַת הַיָּמִים, שֶׁהִמְשַׁכְתִּי לְבֵיתִי, וְכָל בְּנֵי בֵּיתִי יִזְכּוּ מִיַּד אַחַר הַדְלָקַת נֵרוֹת, לְעֹנֶג שַׁבָּת אֲמִיתִּי, לְהַרְגִּישׁ אֶת הַשַּׁבָּת בְּצוּרָה חוּשָׁנִית, עַד שֶׁאֶפְשָׁר יִהְיֶה לְמַשֵּׁשׁ אֶת הַשַּׁבָּת, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר "לַעֲשׂוֹת אֶת הַשַּׁבָּת", עַל יְדֵי זְמִירוֹת שַׁבָּת וְדִבְרֵי תּוֹרָה, וְכָל הַשׁוּלְחָנוֹת שֶׁאֲנִי אֶעֱרוֹךְ לִכְבוֹד שַׁבָּת, יִהְיוּ מְלֵאִים דִּבְרֵי תּוֹרָה עֲסִיסִיִּים וּמְחוּדָּדִים, וְכָל הַשׁוּלְחָן יִתְנַהֵל כַּמָּה שָׁעוֹת, עַל יְדֵי זְמִירוֹת שַׁבָּת, שִׁירוֹת וְתִשְׁבָּחוֹת שֶׁל שַׁבָּת, "אִם אָמַרְתִּי מָטָה רַגְלִי חַסְדְּךָ ה' יִסְעָדֵנִי, בְּרֹב שַׂרְעַפַּי בְּקִרְבִּי תַּנְחוּמֶיךָ יְשַׁעַשְׁעוּ נַפְשִׁי". © ==== VISIT THE A-Z OF PRAYERS BY RABBI ELIEZER BERLAND, HERE.
