Rav Berland Shlit"a Travels to North to Pray for the Rabbanit Tlit"a

Last week, Rabbanit Tehila Berland, tlit”a, was hospitalized following a deterioration in her medical condition. On Tuesday night, the evening of 27 Tammuz, Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit”a traveled to visit her in the hospital.

After the visit, Moreinu HaRav shlit”a expressed his desire to travel to kivrei Tzaddikim in the north. As his grandson and attendant, Rav Dov Zucker, related in a special interview, within a short time a private helicopter was arranged, which flew Moreinu HaRav shlit”a to Rosh Pina in the north. From there, the Rav continued on to the tomb of Rabbi Yonatan ben Uziel in Amuka. As Rav Dov relates, upon arriving at the tomb, Moreinu HaRav shlit”a poured out a fiery prayer from the depths of his heart for the recovery of his wife—the Rabbanit tlit”a. For two hours, he stood alone at the holy grave, reciting the Tikkun HaKlali and praying Shacharit. At the conclusion of his prayer, the Rav shlit”a spoke a few words about this holy place—the gravesite of Rabbi Yonatan ben Uziel—which is entirely surrounded by fire, and that everything prayed for here is answered immediately. The great wonder is that at the exact same time that the Rav shlit”a was praying for the Rabbanit in Amuka, the doctors reported a significant improvement in her condition. On the return trip, the Rav shlit”a stopped at the gravesite of Choni HaMe’agel, recited a chapter of Tehillim, and then traveled back to the helicopter landing pad in Rosh Pina. There, the helicopter pilot asked to take a picture with Moreinu HaRav shlit”a. On the way back, the Rav shlit”a landed again at Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital, where he once more visited the Rabbanit, whose condition, as mentioned, had improved remarkably in the merit of the prayers. Close to 9:00 AM, Moreinu HaRav returned to his holy residence.
