RABBI BERLAND'S PRAYER TO HAVE SUCCESS IN STUDIES AND EXAMS #808 TO MERIT SUCCESS IN STUDIES Master of the world, Who can do anything, grant me in the merit of the month of Elul, which is the entrance to the new year, ‘the mazal/constellation of Virgo’ which indicates new birth, to be formed anew, may I merit to succeed in my studies, and to know Shas forwards and backwards, in overview and in depth, word for word, letter for letter. And may I not be lacking in any letter from Shas G-d forbid, and not from Ketzot HaChoshen, and not from Netivot HaMishpat, and not from the Urim and Turim, and not from Takfo Cohen, and not from the holy Rambam, and not from the Shulchan Aruch, and not from the Tur, Rosh, Rif, Rashba, Ramban, Ritva, Meiri and all the commentaries in the world. And may I merit to learn them all in truth and for the sake of heaven, for the sake of the holy and pure Torah, for the sake of the revelation of the light of truth in the world and the light of the Tzaddik in the world. And in the merit of learning the holy Torah, and in the merit that I will succeed in all the tests in the world, and I will learn Torah day and night = 177, twenty four hours without pause for a moment or second, I will enter with my body into Gan Eden = 177, like Serach the daughter of Asher = 1411. And through this may I merit to subdue the eleven chiefs of Esan, and that I will have no materiality, and through this, “and it will be turned around that which (501) the Jews (80) will rule (355) over (50) their enemies (414)” = 1411. And in the merit of learning the holy Torah 24 hours without pause for a second, may I merit to ride and to gallop on 1464 lions, like the soul (790) of Daniel (95) the charming (464) man (311) = 1659, the secret of “and the lost ones came (9) from the land of Ashur and the distanced ones from the land of Egypt and they bowed to Hashem who is One (1) in Jerusalem”.
