A Rare Visit: Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlit”a Prays at Grave of Rema in Krakow
Last week, Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a left the Land of Israel for medical purposes abroad. On his way, he stopped in Krakow, Poland, where he merited to pray at the holy tomb of Maran HaRema — Rabbi Moshe Isserles zy”a, author of the glosses on the Shulchan Aruch.
During the visit, the Rav poured out prayers and supplications for the salvation of Am Yisrael, the return of the hostages, and for victory over the enemies of Israel.
The gabbai’im of Moreinu HaRav shlit"a describe the occasion as moving and special, as the Rav shlit"a spent a long time near the grave and recited several Tikkun HaKlali’s.
It is worth noting that after the conclusion of the Rav’s trip abroad, he returned to the Holy Land and has since resumed praying Ma’ariv with the community.
