Another terrible illness strikes
ANOTHER TERRIBLE ILLNESS STRIKES: A WEEK AFTER SPEAKING AGAINST RAV BERLAND, THE AVREICH LOST HIS OWN KIDNEY A few monthsâ ago, we published the frightening words of the Kabbalist Rav Mordechai Menser, a miracle worker and author of holy works, who the late Rav Avraham Chai, ztl, (the famous kabbalist from Pardes Katz) and many other Tzaddikim testified is one of the leading lamed vav Tzaddikim of our generation. [https://ravberland.com/frightening-message-lamed-vav-tzaddik/]) A little more recently, we also brought the terrifying story of the Milkman, the kabbalist Rav Chaim Cohen, shlita, who warned a senior figure in the Torah world that the reason that his wife now had an incurable brain tumor was because heâd spoken negatively about Rav Eliezer Berland, shlita. [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="877"][https://ravberland.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/%D7%94%D7%97%D7%9C%D7%91%D7%9F-%D7%91%D7%A9%D7%99%D7%A2%D7%95%D7%A8-%D7%9C%D7%95%D7%92%D7%95.x65002.x60864.jpg] Rav Chaim Cohen, shlita, 'the Milkman'[/caption] Rav Cohen, shlita said: > âTell me something. Did you talk badly about Rav Lazer [i.e. Rav Eliezer Berland], shlita? Did you write something bad against him? Or do something to try to hurt him?...In that case, there is no cure for your wifeâs illness.â" (You can read the full story, including the Milkmanâs exact words, HERE [https://ravberland.com/the-milkman-no-cure-for-your-illness/].) Sadly, despite the many warnings against speaking lashon hara (evil speech) or participating in any form of machloket, (strife and controversy) that are being circulated by the Gedolei HaDor (leaders of the generation), some people are continuing to risk all they whole dear by falling into the trap of the yetzer hara (evil inclination). We have received many stories of some of the terrible hardships and tragedies that are befalling some members of the frum Jewish community, most of which we canât publicize, for a number of different reasons. However, in order to try and prevent any more people from suffering unnecessarily, and to hopefully instill a thought of teshuva into the hearts of those people who continue to participate in machloket and evil speech, despite all the warnings, we decided to publish just one of the many stories weâve received. âHIS WIFEâS KIDNEYS COLLAPSEDâ We were told this story by âNatanâ, a businessman who lives in the all-chareidi city of Beitar Illit, located just south of Jerusalem. Natan told us: âThis past week, one of my customers came to my premises and told me an awful story that had just happened to someone in the kollel where he learns,â he begins. âHe recounted that one of the avreichim (Torah learners) in his kollel, someone who belongs to one of the more respected families in Beitar, came in one day and started to talk in a very nasty way about Rav Berland, shlita. âThis occurred just after the Rav had undergone a very difficult surgery on his kidneys [where one of his kidneys was actually removed], but this person didnât think twice about mocking the Rav, shlita, Hashem should have mercy. âSome of the other avreichim who were there came over to this individual, and warned him that it was forbidden to speak against Tzaddikim, but this didnât calm the man down, and he started saying that Rav Berland, shlita, deserved everything that was happening to him, Hashem should have mercy. âBarely a week even passed before this manâs wife came down with a very serious illness, where both of her kidneys mamash collapsed. This man was forced to donate one of his own kidneys [to his wife], but even after the transplant, his wife is still in a critical condition. âEveryone was stunned by what happened, because beforehand the manâs wife had been perfectly healthy, and it was only after he spoke against the Tzaddik that his wife fell ill. Weâre all hoping that this person will wake up, before itâs too late,â Natan added sorrowfully. âWe all need to be so careful not to talk against the Tzaddikim under any circumstances, and to even be careful to guard our thoughts. Moranu Rav Berland, shlita, is a Tzaddik and he forgives all the slights to his honor, but from Heaven they donât forgive! Itâs like what the kabbalist Rav Dovid Chaim Stern, shlita, said:â [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="2472"][https://ravberland.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/RavChaimDovidStern.x60864.jpg] Rac Dovid Chaim Stern, shlita[/caption] (You can read the full story of what Rav Dovid Chaim Stern said, HERE [https://ravberland.com/listen-rav-berland-will-get-out-soon-and-the-redemption-will-come-but-the-people-against-him-will-have-no-part-whatsoever-in-the-redemption/]). âRav Berland can say that everything [i.e. all the slander and lies against him] is good, but HaKadosh Baruch Hu doesnât take it into account that Rav Berland forgives all the slights to his honor, and He is going to strike down all his persecutors and cause them to die horrible deaths. They are committing an injustice that itâs impossible to imagine or describe. âI simply donât know why such a pure Tzaddik like this, who is free from all sin, should have to undergo something like this. The people who are persecuting him like this are evil and wicked, and they wonât merit to see the geula (redemption),â continued Rav Stern. âThey are going to undergo the fires of Gehinnom. I donât envy them at all, what theyâre going to bring upon themselves.â It should be stated unequivocally that these stories sadden us tremendously, and no-one is âcelebratingâ the terrible fate that is befalling Rav Berlandâs persecutors, G-d forbid. We decided to publish this story solely in order to warn people of the enormous dangers involved with speaking evilly and participating in machloket, especially against the biggest Tzaddikim of the generation.
