Like every year, also this year, the man of kindness and many deeds, Rabbi Yehuda Kadosh, the director of the orphan organization of our holy community, “Yakireinu” (formerly “HaBen Yakir Li”), organized an impressive Chanukah gathering for the orphans of our community.

The gathering took place on Monday night, 30 Kislev, the first day of Rosh Chodesh Tevet, the sixth night of Chanukah, in the holy home of Moreinu HaRav shlit”a and with his participation.  The young children sang songs of emotion (shirei regesh) for some twenty minutes together with Moreinu HaRav shlit”a.  Afterwards, the Rav shlit”a delivered a shiur to them about Chanukah.  The shiur, according to his holy custom, branched out into subjects from all areas of the holy Torah. After the shiur, the young tzaddikim passed by, one after the next, to receive Chanukah money from the holy hands of Moreinu HaRav shlit”a, who serves as a father and mother for these children who don’t have them.  The Rav took interest in each one with the warmth of his pure heart, inquiring about their welfare and their progress in learning and serving Hashem, while taking care of all the physical and spiritual needs of each one.
