Comprehensive Review of the Days of Rosh Hashanah with Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlitâa â Part II
âVAYITNU LECHA KETER MELUCHA â THEY GIVE YOU THE CROWN OF KINGSHIPâ MOREINU HARAV SHLIT"A BEGAN THE HOLY AND PROFOUND NIGGUN, WHICH EXPRESSED AND PREPARED HEARTS FOR THE SECOND DAY OF ROSH HASHANAH â DINA RAFYA (A SOFTER JUDGMENT). AS THE SOUND OF THE SHOFAR GREW STRONGER AND STRONGER, SO TOO DID THE SECOND DAY OF ROSH HASHANAH IN THE PRESENCE OF THE TZADDIK ELEVATE AND FILL THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE WORLD WITH HOLINESS AND RENEWAL. HASHEM, GOD OF ISRAEL, RULES ⢠THE SECOND NIGHT OF ROSH HASHANAH Just as on the night when the people of our community were passed through judgment, so too now: Only the holy voice of the Tzaddik pierced the air with "Barechu Et Hashem HaMvorach"!!!  The Maariv prayer was conducted in the style of âShuvu Banim,â with great vitality and immense joy.  After Maariv, the Rav once again honored his grandson, Rabbi Aharon Zucker, to recite "L'David Mizmor." After the prayer, Moreinu HaRav shlit"a announced that he would come out for Shacharit at 4:30 AM, and so to the singing of "UâVâChen Tzaddikim," he entered his holy home after fifty minutes of prayer on the second night of Rosh Hashanah. OCHILA LAKEL ⢠THE SECOND DAY OF ROSH HASHANAH At 4:35, the Rav entered for the Shacharit prayer from his balcony.  For about fifty minutes, he prayed Shacharit with our community, from "Urah Na" until "Hodu." After a brief pause at 5:25, Moreinu HaRav shlit"a entered our Beit Midrash and continued the prayer from "Hodu" until "HaMelech." At "Hamelech," as on the previous day, he honored Rabbi Naftali Zucker to lead the prayers. During the coronation itself, Moreinu HaRav shlit"a roared with might, "Hamelech!!!" After the Amidah, his attendant, Rabbi Naftali Zucker, continued as the prayer leader. The Shacharit prayer of the second day lasted about an hour and twenty minutes until 7:57, when the Torah reading began. When the ark was opened, the Rav recited the Thirteen Attributes of Mercy.  Moreinu HaRav shlitâa was honored with the Aliyah of Rabbeinu HaKadosh -- the fourth Aliyah.  After his Aliyah, Moreinu HaRav shlit"a announced that he would fulfill the mitzvah of Birkhat HaGomel for all members of the community who had been on flights. HASHEM, HIS GOD, IS WITH HIM, AND THE KINGâS TRUMPET BLAST IS AMONG THEM ⢠SHOFAR BLOWING AND MUSAF PRAYER After the Torah reading, Moreinu HaRav shlit"a once again honored the Baal Tokeâa (shofar blower), Rav Yosef Shor, to ascend the holy Bimah. Moreinu HaRav shlit"a read out the order of shofar blasts with great fervor, while being careful to recite the "Yehi Ratzon" between each set of blasts. After the shofar blasts, Moreinu HaRav shlit"a appointed Rav Yosef Shor to lead the "Hineni Ha'ani MâMaâas" prayer. It is worth noting that the aspect of Dina Rafya was strongly felt, with immense joy in every melody and song, especially in the singing of "V'Karev Pezureinu" and "V'Haveâeinu L'Tzion" once again during Musaf with great vitality, the Rav shlit"a turning to the congregation, invigorating them with his holy movements: "Oy, bring close our scattered ones from among the nations, and gather our dispersed ones from the ends of the earth..."  So were the sections of Malchuyot, Zichronot, and Shofrot all filled with the arousing niggunim of Breslov.  The "Unetaneh Tokef" prayer was filled with arousal, and the song "Ein Ketzva L'Shanotecha" was sung with overwhelming fervor!  Ah, it is nearly impossible to turn the immense light and inspiration from these prayers into words! Just like the first day, on the second day, Moreinu HaRav shlit"a stood for the entire duration of the prayer, even making an effort to bow during "Aleinu L'Shabeâach."  After the prayer, in contrast to the first day, the Rav shlit"a made Kiddush with the words, "Blow the shofar on the new moon..."  He gave over a brief shiur, declaring that this was now the Fiftieth Gate and the moment of redemption, blessing everyone with ten sons and ten daughters. At 6:13 PM, Moreinu HaRav shlit"a came out for the Mincha prayer of the second day of Rosh Hashanah, which was also the eve of Shabbat Kodesh.  During this prayer, he once again served as the prayer leader, blending the "Shuvu Banim" and Breslov style with sweetness and pleasantness thatâs impossible to describe.  After the Amidah, Moreinu HaRav shlit"a began Kabbalat Shabbat of "Shabbat Shuva - Parshat Haazinuâ with the order of âHitkashrutâ as on every Shabbat!
