Event for Completing Torah Scroll for "Meor HaNachal" Synagogue
Last week, on Tuesday, the 2nd of Elul, an event for writing the last letters of a Torah scroll was held at the home of Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a. The Torah scroll was dedicated to the Beit Midrash of Breslov Chassidim "Meor HaNachal" in the city of Beit Shemesh.
The Torah scroll was dedicated by R’ Gavriel Grossman shlit"a, one of the long-standing disciples of Moreinu HaRav shlit"a, in memory of his parents: R’ Eliezer ben R’ Menachem z"l, Mrs. Tova Rachel bat R’ Gavriel Chaim z"l, R’ Yirmiyahu ben R’ Menachem Tzvi z"l, and Mrs. Bella bat R’ Yehudah z"l.
The day before the dedication of the Torah scroll, as mentioned, an event for writing the last letters was held at the home of Moreinu HaRav shlit"a. Present at the event were R’ Gavriel Grossman shlit"a and his son-in-law R’ Motta Frank shlit"a. During the event, Moreinu HaRav shlit"a spoke, mentioning the departed in whose names and memory the Torah scroll was dedicated, and also relating “stories from ancient times.”
