“Flask of Pure Oil” – Chanukah Gathering for “Yeldei HaTzaddik” Group for Children

On Tuesday, the night of Rosh Chodesh Tevet, the seventh night of Chanukah, a giant and moving Chanukah gathering was held by the “Yeldei HaTzaddik – Children of the Tzaddik” group under the directorship of Rav Naftali Bik, who gives his entire soul for the young children of Beit Rabban, the children of the Tzaddik of Shuvu Banim.

The gathering was held during the night hours in our Beit Midrash – Shuvu Banim – where the many daily activities of the “Yeldei HaTzaddik” group take place. At around 11:30 PM, Moreinu HaRav shlit”a entered the Beit Midrash, and hundreds of the children of the Tzaddik simply sang for over twenty minutes heartfelt and rousing songs.  It’s impossible to describe the excitement that gripped all the participants in the gathering, to see hundreds of pure children -- from the age of cheleike (three years old) to the age just before Bar Mitzvah -- singing with their rousing voices that melt the heart: “Strengthen their hearts for Torah and service, everything, everything according to Your good will…”  Ahhh!  “And may I merit to see, to see, sons, and grandsons, engaged in Torah, Torah and mitzvot, truly, truly…”  No eye remained dry. And what can be said about the spiritual father of this holy flock, Moreinu HaRav shlit”a, who sat in front of the children of the flock with the Holy Ark behind him!  His face radiated with both satisfaction and great excitement.  One could not miss the tears boiling from excitement streaming down his pure face as he gazed with his holy eyes upon the hundreds of pure children, singing powerfully and pleadingly to merit to pure and true love of Hashem during these auspicious days of Chanukah – a flask of pure oil! After the uplifting singing, the children passed one after the next with exemplary order before the Rav shlit”a to receive from his pure hands Chanukah gelt.  The gathering concluded with great elevation and joy.
