If We Don’t Make Remarks About Others, They Will Come to the Truth Themselves – Daily Chizzuk

THE DAILY CHIZZUK BY MOREINU HARAV ELIEZER BERLAND SHLIT”A – FRIDAY, 22 SIVAN 5784 THEY FIRED UP THE FIERY FURNACE (BEREISHIT RABBAH 38:13), BECAUSE AFTER NIMROD TOLD AVRAHAM TO BOW DOWN TO HIM, AVRAHAM SAID TO HIM, “YOU WANT ME TO BOW DOWN TO YOU?  FIRST MOVE THE SUN.”  THEN NIMROD THREW HIM INTO THE FIERY FURNACE. NOW, WHEN AVRAHAM IS THE AGE OF 140, THEY GO TO ARRANGE A MATCH FOR HIS SON YITZCHAK.  ELIEZER, AVRAHAM’S SLAVE, WAS AGAINST THE MATCH.  WHOEVER HAS LEARNED RASHI (BEREISHIT 24:39), THERE IT IS WRITTEN THAT ELIEZER WAS AGAINST THE MATCH. “And the man was astonished at her, remaining silent to know whether Hashem had made his journey successful or not.”  The Rebbe says (Likutey Moharan Part 2, Lesson 46), that if you have a kushiya (a difficulty or question) about the Tzaddik, a kushiya about someone, go to the field and scream. Kushiya is the initial letters of “Shema Hashem Koli Ekra – Hear, Hashem, my voice when I call.”  [If] you have a kushiya about Breslov, a kushiya about Rabbeinu, scream about this to Hashem. Avraham also saw Esav, that he would descend from Rivka and Yitzchak.  If Eliezer saw Esav, then also Avraham saw Esav.  So why disqualify him? Lesson 46 (Likutey Moharan Part 2):  KushiyaI is the initial letters of “Hear, Hashem, my voice when I call.”  It is written, “And the man was astonished at her, remaining silent” (Bereishit 24:21).  “Astonished” – what?  Eliezer didn’t even ask who she is.  Forgive me, [but] that’s not how you make matches.  You don’t ask Rivka who she is?  You don’t ask her, “Whose daughter are you?”  You immediately put a nose ring on her nose and bracelets on her hands.  Then, they would go with rings on the nose.  According to the commentary, Eliezer put the bracelets (tzemidim) on her because he saw with Ruach HaKodesh (the Divine spirit) that the Tablets were destined to be broken.  He wanted to join together (lehatzmid) the Tablets.  He saw the Golden Calf that they were going to make, he saw the Tablets, and he wanted to cancel the match At first, he put the bracelets on her, and he didn’t even ask who she is.  Later on, when he told her family, he changed the story.  How can you arrange a match like this?  How could you have made the match?  You didn’t even ask who she is?  Maybe she is the daughter of a criminal?  The daughter of a thief?  What? He said to the family, “No, I asked her whose daughter she is, and she told me ‘the daughter of Betuel ben Milka, whom she bore to Nachor.’  I checked out everything.”  A person loves to do the opposite of what they are told.  [If you] tell him, “Come to the prayer,” he will not come to the prayer.  Don’t tell him, and he will come on his own Hashem said to Avraham, “Go for yourself from your land.”  Avraham says, “Only to my land.”  Hashem says to Avraham, “and from your relatives.”  Avraham says, “Only to my relatives.”  Hashem says to Avraham, “and from your father’s house.”  Avraham says, “Only to my father’s house.” EVERYTHING IS REVERSED, EVERYTHING IS REVERSED.  THEREFORE, IT IS NEVER A GOOD IDEA TO TELL ANOTHER PERSON ANYTHING – IN THE END, HE WILL REACH THE TRUTH ON HIS OWN. So we see that Avraham does the opposite of what he is told. https://vimeo.com/970116749
