“I’m Coming to Bat Yam!” – Rav Berland Shlit”a in Not-So-Subtle Hint to Bat Yam Residents Days Before Terror Attacks

A MASSIVE SERIES OF TERROR ATTACKS WHICH COULD HAVE CLAIMED MANY JEWISH LIVES TOOK PLACE IN BAT YAM AND HOLON.  TO GIVE SOME IDEA OF THE GREATNESS OF THE MIRACLE FOR AM YISRAEL, EXPLOSIVES DEVICES WERE PLACED ON FIVE BUSES, OF WHICH THREE DETONATED. A FEW DAYS EARLIER, MOREINU HARAV ELIEZER BERLAND SHLIT”A GAVE A SHIUR IN HIS HOME WHICH WAS ATTENDED BY RESIDENTS OF BAT YAM.  IN PASSING, THE RAV SHLIT”A ADDRESSED THE PARTICIPANTS AND DECLARED: “THE TZADDIK CAN REACH BAT YAM.”  ALL OF THIS WAS SAID IN THE CONTEXT OF THE TZADDIK’S ABILITY TO COME AND SAVE FROM THE ATTRIBUTE OF JUDGMENT THOSE WHO MAKE AN EFFORT TO DRAW CLOSE TO HIM. WE BRING HERE THE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS: “Oh, you live in Bat Yam?” Moreinu HaRav shlit”a asked the participants of the shiur. “The Tzaddik is coming to Bat Yam.  It’s fine – he can reach Bat Yam!” Statements from security forces immediately after the attacks: “These were two explosions that occurred on two buses in two adjacent parking lots, but they were not in the same lot; rather, they were in two separate locations.” Eyewitnesses who also filmed the attack and spoke amongst themselves: “Do you think there was anyone inside?  It was reported that there were no casualties!” THESE ARE THE HOLY WORDS OF MOREINU HARAV ELIEZER BERLAND SHLIT”A, WHICH EXPLAINS A BIT OF THE POWER OF THE TZADDIK WHO IS AN ASPECT OF LEAH TO JUDGE THOSE COMING TO HIM “L’KAF Z’CHUT (FAVORABLY)” IMMEDIATELY.  IN THE MIDST OF HIS WORDS AND IN HIS HOLY MANY OF REVEALING A HANDBREADTH AND CONCEALING MANY HANDBREADTHS, THE RAV SHLIT”A SAYS THAT HE WILL MAKE IT TO BAT YAM IN ORDER TO SAVE THEM FROM THE ATTRIBUTE OF JUDGMENT: How do we merit to the green line?  Rabbeinu says that it is a green line!  “Vayarek (He armed) [his disciples]” (Bereishit 14:14).  “Vayarek” is the green (yarok) line, that only the Tzaddik merits to the green line!  “Kav Yarok Mechadesh Chodashim, Shaar Chamishim – A green line, renewing months, the fiftieth gate” (from the song “Bar Yochai”).  The Zohar in Naso brings all of this. So, to whom does the green line belong? Rabbi Meir says that it belongs to the upper one (elyon).  Rabbi Yehuda says it belongs to the lower one (tachton).  The “Semichat Chachamim” says that the “upper one” is the true Tzaddik who is an aspect of Leah, because there is [a Tzaddik who is the aspect of] Leah, and there is a [Tzaddik who is the aspect of] Rachel. There are two Tzaddikim.  [There are] Tzaddikim [who bring a person to good decrees] for a good life immediately.  On Rosh Hashanah, every person is sealed immediately.  A person must be in Uman on Rosh Hashanah, only in Uman; even if there are obstacles, they are meaningless. So, [if one makes the effort to reach Uman, to reach the Tzaddik], I can bring him in [to a good life immediately], because one needs to extent his hand [to make the effort to come to the Tzaddik]. Rabbi Shimon says that only one who is within reach of the Tzaddik [can be helped].  Whoever is within reach of the Tzaddik [and makes the effort to draw close to him], the Tzaddik elevates him and brings him straight into the Garden of Eden.  Rabbi Yannai says that this is without forcing [himself]. The Rav shlit”a asks those present: “Did you come now from Beer Sheva?  Where do you come from?” “We come from Bat Yam, from Ashelon,” they respond. Moreinu HaRav shlit”a continues: “Oh, you’re from Bat Yam.  The Tzaddik is coming to Bat Yam.  It’s fine!  He can reach Bat Yam.  But Eilat, I don’t know.  He would already have to force [himself with extra effort].  He would have to stretch out his hand, [but] without stretching out his hand, [he reaches Bat Yam]!  Bat Yam – yes! “One must learn all the Zohar’s in order to understand all this.  You need to know all the Zohar’s.  Only if you know all the Zohar’s is it possible to understand what the Rebbe says.” https://vimeo.com/1061063609
