In the Merit of Modesty, She Merited to 7 Sons Becoming Kohen Gadol â Daily Chizzuk by Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlitâa
THE DAILY CHIZZUK BY THE HOLY GAON AND TZADDIK, MOREINU HARAV ELIEZER BERLAND SHLITâA â âOUR BODY TODAY [AFTER THE SIN OF THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE] IS THE BODY OF THE SERPENT; ITâS FORBIDDEN FOR THIS BODY TO BE SEEN.â SUNDAY, 22 NISAN 5785 â âWHOEVER DIES [SANCTIFYING HASHEMâS NAME] IMMEDIATELY MERITS TO THE GARDEN OF EDEN.â In the end (II Shmuel 24), it is written âa million, one-hundred thousand.â Here (I Divrei HaYamim 21), it is written eight-hundred thousand. 300,000 are missing. All of these died on the spot. From Gad, David went to Dan. He said, âNow everyone will die, because I counted the Jewish people, and it is forbidden to count.â He said, âThey will die from Dan.â In Dan was the story of Micha and they made calves. Therefore, Yaravam set up the calf in Dan. He said that they would die from Dan. If there will be a plague and 300,000 will die, they will die from Dan. 300,000 died on the spot. Another 70,000 died in [the incident of] the concubine in Givah. They cut the concubine in Givah into 12 parts. The âMegaleh Amukotâ says that the concubine came in the form of a snake. A person suddenly encounters a snake â it is a woman that he tormented 3,000 years ago. 2,000 years have already passed.  They took the woman and torture her to death, like theyâre doing now to our girls in Gaza â torturing them to death. They were lookouts and good soldiers, but this is what happened in the end. Whoever dies [for the sanctification of Hashemâs Name], merits on the spot and is in the Garden of Eden now. WE WANT EVERYONE TO BE WITH US, BUT WE DIDNâT MERIT IT. HASHEM TOOK 1,500 BOYS AND GIRLS, THE MOST RIGHTEOUS YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN IN A SINGLE SECOND. WITHIN A SECOND, THEY ALL DIED. WHOEVER FLED WAS SHOT AND KILLED AT THE PARTY. BUT THOSE WHO WENT MODESTLY WERE NOT SHOT. WHOEVER CAME TO THE PARTY BECAUSE THEY WERE FORCED â BROUGHT BY HER MOTHER, BROTHER, OR SISTER â WERE NOT SHOT. THEY DIDNâT SHOOT THE MODEST ONES.  THEY DONâT SHOOT THE MODEST ONES, THE COVERED ONES. BECAUSE OUR BODY TODAY [AFTER THE SIN OF THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE] IS THE BODY OF THE SERPENT. IT IS FORBIDDEN FOR THIS BODY TO BE SEEN. Here it says in the Tur (Siman 2) that it is forbidden for any part of the body to be seen. The Tur teaches how a person should get dressed â only under a blanket or in the bathroom, not in the room. Either a person should get dressed in the bathroom, the restroom, or under the blanket. Letâs look here in the Tur in Siman 2, that a person should be careful not to reveal even one square centimeter of their body. Like Kimchit (Yoma 47a), who didnât reveal⌠[âThe beams of my house have never seen the braids of my hairâ]. So she had seven sons who were Kohen Gadol (High Priest). If she had seven, then it means that all of them died, because it is impossible to be Kohen Gadol in their lifetimes [you canât have more than one Kohen Gadol alive at one time]. Rather, it refers to a case where a person was speaking and saliva sprayed from [his mouth], so that the Kohen will became impure. [He is removed from his post until he is purified, and this explains how the brothers became Kohen Gadol while the others were still alive]. If a single splash or drop of saliva touches the Kohen, even on his clothes, he becomes impure. Seven of her sons became impure while the commanders called them outside. There was some kind of a fight outside, death blows, so the commanders called to the Kohen Gadol [to put things in order]. THUS, KIMCHIT MERITED THAT ALL SEVEN OF HER SONS BECAME KOHANIM GEDOLIM â IN THE MERIT OF NOT EVEN ONE MILLIMETER OF HER BODY EVER BEING SEEN. https://vimeo.com/1076180781
