“The angels have vanquished the righteous ones and the Holy Ark is captured” (Ketubot 104a), “All the House of Israel shall weep the conflagration which Hashem ignited” (Vayikra 10:6).

This evening, 12 Adar I, Wednesday of the week of Shushan Purim Katan, Parshat Tetzaveh, one of the greats among the Lamed-Vav Tzaddikim of the generation, Rav Mori Shalom Hamdi ztz”l, passed away. Rav Mori Shalom Hamdi ztz”l was great in Torah, in wisdom, and in humility, and behold, only four days ago, he merited to meet Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit”a in a historic visit. Rav Hamdi ztz”l came to the holy home of Moreinu HaRav Berland shlit”a, and grasped the holy hand of Rav Berland shlit”a throughout the meeting. Moreinu HaRav shlit”a blessed him with warmth,, while amongst their holy words, the Tzaddikim began a discussion about the Aliyah of Yemenite Jews, which took place decades ago, the same Aliyah in which Rav Hamdi ztz”l came to Israel. In addition, they spoke at length about the redemption.
