May They Blossom Like the Grass of the Field -- Daily Shiur with R' Eliezer Berland Shlit"a
HERE IS A SUMMARY FROM THE DAILY SHIUR OF MOREINU HARAV ELIEZER BERLAND SHLIT"A FROM YESTERDAY, WEDNESDAY, THE NIGHT OF ROSH CHODESH SHEVAT, PARASHAT BO: So everyone should read the Ramban of Parashat Bo. The Rebbe says that everything is through niggunim (melodies) -- the empty space. Only through niggunim is it possible to get everyone to do teshuva (repentance). Now we have almost three hours until Chatzot. It's possible to finish the whole Ramban and four pages of Gemara, and the girls should finish Tehilim, Yehoshua, and Shoftim. The girls need to learn mathematics and to know Yehoshua and Shoftim, by Chatzot at 11:32 P.M. A girl has a million times the intellect of a boy. A girl is wisdom (Chochmah) of the name "BeN," and a boy is understanding (Binah). The boy puts everything in gambling; everything turns into a big zero for him. However, the girl needs to guard the boy, because the boys believed Korach that Moshe was just a deceiver, sorcerer, and magician. They told him, "We would receive fish for free [in Egypt]." "Fish for free"?! Blows for free! Rather, when they would bend over to draw water, the tuna would jump into the jug. The girls would become swelled up and say that it was an illness. There were three types of miracles: 1. They were swallowed up in the ground; 2. The angels came and would bring them over the river, "You came to have great charm," flocks and flock would arrive, "They would blossom like the grass of the field"; 3. They put them in the wall; then they would pray, "The snare broke and we escaped." The Rebbe says that the entire redemption is only in the merit of the women, that they pray like the Rebbe brings in paragraph 37.
