Be a partner in the Torah scroll of the Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlitâa
On the day of the kingâs birthday celebration â last Thursday, 23 Tevet â the day in which the soul of the Tzaddik of the generation, Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlitâa, came down to the world, the Rabbis of the community gathered together with the participation of Moreinu HaRav shlitâa for the occasion of the writing of the Torah scroll in honor of the Tzaddik and in memory of those murdered in the Simchat Torah War.
During the event, Moreinu HaRav shlitâa entered to the song âFor they add to you length of days and years of lifeâŚâ The Rav began with the writing of the first letters of the Torah scroll, âIn the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.â Afterwards, the Rav drank âLâChaim,â blessing âBorei Pri HaGafen.â Then he began to give over a fiery shiur in which he spoke a great deal about the significance of writing the Torah scroll.
After the shiur, which continued for about an hour, the Rav shlitâa said Kaddish, and returned to his holy dwelling to the song âMay You add days onto the days of the kingâŚâ
At the moment, the merit to be a partner in the writing of the Torah scroll is given to one who purchases a complete sheet of parchment or a complete column by way of the links provided below. Afterwards, if portions are left, the possibility of donating verses, words, and letters will be publicized here on the website.
