One Who is Connected to the Tzaddik Lives Forever – The Daily Chizzuk with Rav Eliezer Berland Shlit”a

THE DAILY CHIZZUK WITH OUR REBBE, THE GAON AND TZADDIK RABBI ELIEZER BERLAND SHLIT”A – HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO SAY THAT ESTHER WAS GREENISH? TUESDAY, 8 SIVAN 5782 These are his holy words: HERE WE’LL LEARN WHAT IS THE “GREEN LINE” Esther was the ugliest woman in the world.  How could it be?  After all, it’s written, “The king loved Esther more than all the women… than all the maidens” (Esther 2:17).  Exactly the opposite – there was never such beauty since the creation of the world, even more than Vashti! THEN HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO SAY ABOUT ESTHER [THAT SHE’S] GREENISH? Then [when] he says “greenish -- YeRaKroket” this is “He armed (vaYaReK) his disciples” (Breishit 14:14).  What is this, “He armed his disciples”?  This is the green line (kav haYaRoK) which encompasses the entire world!  The tzaddik is the green line! What do we say in the prayer book?  What do we sing? “Bar Yochai – in the holy of holies, the green line creates new things [from the song “Bar Yochai” by Rabbi Shimon Lavi]. The tzaddik is called the green line!  What is “greenish”?  This is the green line! Here he explains what the green line is, [for] several pages he just explains what the green line is, all of the implications, all the Divine Chariot – the line which encompasses the entire world, the Holy Temple, the house, the world. A person lives forever.  Whoever is connected to the green line lives forever. Stone of bohu, stone of tohu, the green line surrounds all four worlds, the four encampments of the Divine Presence. The green line is the line with which we live forever.  Someone who is connected to the green line can live forever.  “Who will bring forth the pure from the impure” (Iyov 14:4) -- [from] those who aren’t pure. Therefore, we eat [on Seder night] the Karpas [a type of vegetable].  We begin with the green line.  The vegetables [YeRaKot] are the green line, they are drawn from the green line.
