Prayer that the Rav will Reach Uman for Rosh Hashanah – One of the Most Important Prayers

Many important things exist, both for the community and for the individual, and as Rabbeinu taught us – for everything one must pray. But according to all opinions, there is nothing more important than that the Tzaddik should reach the kibbutz in Uman on Rosh Hashanah.

It is known that Rabbeinu Nachman received Rosh Hashanah as a gift from Hashem. On that day, he performs rectifications for souls that cannot be accomplished throughout the entire year, and he elevates all of creation. However, during the days of the kibbutz, it is necessary that the Tzaddik of the generation should come to the great gathering in Uman and connect with the soul of Rabbeinu in rectifications the likes of which have never been since the beginning of the world. Then the Tzaddik works with our souls in rectifications that, with our own minds, we cannot even begin to understand – yet these are what we truly need.

Here is the prayer that is so important -- that the Tzaddik, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, should reach Uman this Rosh Hashanah:

To merit that Moreinu HaRav reaches Uman for Rosh Hashanah, and that all the holy combinations will join together, and that we merit to follow the Tzaddik with self-sacrifice with a complete heart like Zevulun

According to Moreinu HaRav Shlit”a’s instructions, we should say this prayer starting from 1 Elul seven times a day

Ribbono Shel Olam – Master of the World, Who can do everything, grant our Rav the merit to reach Uman for Rosh Hashanah, and may all the accusations be nullified from upon him, and may all his terrible iniquities be atoned for him, and may the verse be fulfilled in him, “to the house of Betuel, your mother’s father” = 930, because through Rosh Hashanah, we merit to be included in the right nostril of “Nukva D’Fardaska,” from which the spirit of the resurrection of the dead emerges, and to be included in the left nostril, from which the spirit emerges to Malchut (Kingship), the secret of Hashem is One = 1, Mashiach ben David = 434 = 435, in the blink of an eye = 435. For on Rosh Hashanah, the heel of Leah is included in the Keter (Crown) of Rachel, and through the journey for Rosh Hashanah, the good in the holy sparks is purified and elevated, and through this, the ten Names “Ado-ni” are rectified through the ten Names of MaH, which is the secret of “By women in the tent will she be blessed,” that she [Yael] merited to an ibur (spiritual impregnation) of [the souls of] David, Sarah, Rivka, Rachel, Leah, for ten times din (judgment) 640 and ten times Ado-ni together with ten times MaH is the numerical value of David, Sarah, Rivka, Rachel, Leah, for on Rosh Hashanah, we merit to “the light of the king’s countenance is life.”  Therefore, Rivka said, “I am disgusted with my life,” because Rivka said, “Why am I (anochi) thus,” because she was worried about “I (anochi) am Hashem your God.” And Tavor, which did not give up, merited to a double portion, two times “anochi,” for Keter was lengthened until half of Tiferet, where the secret of the Yesodot of Ema is revealed – KaPaD (184) KaSA (161), and from there Da’at (Knowledge) was blessed, the secret of the Tzaddik Moshe Rabbeinu, who is KaSA KaPaD, who is the secret of Da’at, and Moshe succeeded in ascending from Beriah to Atzilut, and to elevate everyone from Beriah to Atzilut, because on Rosh Hashanah, the lights of the ear -- where the main shattering [of the vessels] is, and all the aspects of the legs fell – are rectified. And now, on Rosh Hashanah, is the time to elevate all the aspects of the legs, and we need to rectify all aspects of the milui of SaG, which are ten aspects, in the aspect of the 370 multitudes of lights that were taken from Chava, through which death was decreed on the world.  But when we merit on Rosh Hashanah to elevate all ten aspects of LaZ of the milui of SaG, all the achoraim (the aspect of the back) will be nullified, the secret of “He will swallow up death for eternity,” when all the judgments and accusations will be nullified, and there will only be souls of panim (the aspect of the front or face) from Abba and Ema. For if our Rav reaches Uman for Rosh Hashanah the achoraim of Abba and the achoraim of Ema will be included in one another, the numerical value of sechel (intellect), the numerical value of afar (dust), the numerical value of sapirim (sapphires), in the mystery of “I will set your window [frames] with ruby, and lay your foundation with sapphires,” the numerical value of sechel, afar.  Because only through reaching Uman for Rosh Hashanah is it possible to be dust and ashes, and to include the achor of Abba -- the name KaPaD -- and the achor of Ema -- the name KaSU -- and to include them in one another, until from this a new intellect will emerge that has never been before. Because the whole departure of the mochin (mentalities) of the Tzaddik is in order to receive a totally new intellect, the secret of a double portion, which is a billion times, endlessly greater. Therefore, Oved-Edom the Gittite merited to six sons from each daughter-in-law within three months, and six sons from his own wife, in addition to the eight that he already had. “All of these were sixty-two for Oved-Edom the Gittite,” and every two weeks, each one gave birth, like Meirav bat Shaul, who gave birth to five sons within two weeks.  Therefore, the tribe of Zevulun, which nullified the achoraim of Abba and the achoraim of Ema, merited through this to the intellect of the Fiftieth Gate. Through including KaPaD in KaSU, he merited to 50,000, “who arrayed themselves with a complete heart,” because Zevulun follows the Tzaddik, as the Rambam says in Yesodei HaTorah 7:7, in simplicity, not requiring any sign or wonder, like Rabbi Levi Yitzchak writes, that the entire episode of Sisra -- when everyone drowned in the Kishon stream – was on Rosh Hashanah, in the primordial stream, the stream that emerges from the Tree of Life, and therefore it is said, “They were there with David for three days, eating and drinking,” because they did not sleep, only eating, drinking, and praying.
