Public Appeal: Kimcha DâPischa for Poor Families by the Holy Community of Shuvu Banim
Entire families among our community are struggling with the troubling question: âWhere will they find the large sums needed for the many expenses of Passover, and who knows what their Seder night will look like?â
âIchud Chasidei Breslovâ recognizes the great need and has taken upon itself the tremendous responsibility of providing the necessary assistance to every family in our community that requires it. As of now, just days before the beginning of the holy festival of Passover, we are making great efforts to provide a respectable food basket to all poor families. However, the expenses are significant, and we are still far from reaching the required amount. Therefore, we appeal to each and every person to contribute directly to this great and vital undertaking of Kimcha DâPischa. With your help, these families will be able to enter Passover with dignity and peace of mind, knowing that, Bezrat Hashem, this holiday will also be a joyous one for them. For a direct donation to the Kimcha DâPischa fund for poor families by the holy community of Shuvu Banim, click here.
After successfully distributing Kimcha DâPischa and taking care of 1,500 families last year, we hope, with your support, to reach at least this goal again this year. Already well-known are the holy words of the Tzaddik and Gaon, Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlitâa, who calls on everyone to be the Nachshon ben Aminadav of todayâto take the leap into the water and donate generously to Am Yisrael as needed, so that they too can welcome the holiday with peace of mind and joy, just like you.The words of Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlitâa to those who contribute to Kimcha DâPischa:
âA person must jump into the water. âWhen a person gives tzedakah [especially for such an important mitzvah as Kimcha DâPischa for the poor families of the Tzaddik], it is called jumping into the water. âIt is written: âFor his life depends on it.â âYou shall give him his wages on the same day, for his life depends on it. âMoney is the blood (damim), the heart of a person. âA person works eight hours a day, or sixteen hours a day; he works thirty days. âOne makes great sacrifices for his work, if this is winter. âAll day he is occupied with accumulating wealth, and suddenly he is toldâjump into the water! Give everything to tzedakah! Donât keep a penny for yourselfâyou will see that you will experience miracles that have never been since the creation of the world. âEvery person who gives tzedakah will immediately see their fate turn around, and they will become the richest person in the world, more than Rothschild.â
