Last Wednesday, 10 Kislev, Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit”a visited the home of the member of the Torah Sages Council and Av Beit Din of Yoreh De’ah, the great Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Machpud shlit”a for nichum avelim (comforting mourners), after the passing of his sister, the Tzedeket Mrs. Rina Rumia Ratzabi a”h.

Moreinu HaRav shlit”a listened at length as Rabbi Machput shlit”a spoke about the virtues of his righteous sister a”h.  Afterwards, the Rav shlit”a himself offered condolences for several minutes, interspersing words of Torah and Aggadah.
