Rabbi Nachman Revealed What is Dancing – Daily Chizzuk by Rav Eliezer Berland Shlit”a
DAILY CHIZZUK: RAV BERLAND SHLIT”A SPEAKS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF HOLY DANCING AND THE RECTIFICATION OF THE SALE OF YOSEF. Friday, 8 Adar Bet 5782 These are his holy words: In any case, we’re saying here that the entire Holocaust was a rectification for the sale of Yosef. The entire Holocaust, everything that the Jewish people went through, that what they did to Yosef HaTzaddik, so we need to go through this in every generation. This is already 77 years [since the end of the Holocaust]. So it could be that these hundred years will go by quietly, in the merit of the prayers, in the merit of Maariv, in the merit of the niggunim (melodies), because the main thing is the niggunim. People see niggunim and immediately flee. Say a few words and flee. Exactly the opposite. The Rebbe says, “He saw when they were in distress, when he heard their outcry.” This is a Torah in Likutey Moharan, Torah 41. So the rectification is only through niggunim – “He saw when they were in distress, when he heard their outcry.” Only the niggun elevates the prayer. The Baal Shem Tov revealed what is the niggun. The Rebbe revealed what is dancing – that this is the seventh beggar, that only Mashiach will finish the story – the seventh beggar, who is without legs. The entire thing that a person is without legs is that he could dance. That he doesn’t dance shows how many judgements he has upon him – [Likutey Moharan] Torah 169. Why doesn’t he dance? Because he has judgements on his legs. He has judgements upon him, so he can’t dance. He thinks that he is smart that he flees: “Behold, I put everyone in order, I won’t dance. The stupid people dance. I’m smart. I fled from the dancing.” But exactly the opposite. He doesn’t understand that he is found in the harshest judgements.
