Testimony from the court of the Lamed-Vav Tzaddikim: Rav Dovid Chaim Stern
Rav Mordechai, in fresh testimony from the house of the Mekubal and Tzaddik Rav Dovid Chaim Stern shlitâa, testimony which came from the table of the Lamed-Vav Tzaddikim regarding the Redemption.
âWords which I heard in the name of Rabbi Altar Dovid Chaim Stern, one of the great Tzaddikim from Bnei Brak, who was around in the time of the Chazon Ish. His father assisted the Chazon Ish, and itâs known that the Chazon Ish is the father of the entire Torah world. He greatly honored Rabbi Yisrael Zecaria, Rav Sternâs father.
âRav Dovid Stern relates that his father came during the intermediate days of Succos to Maran the Chazon Ish â there werenât a lot of people in the building â and afterwards they sat in the Succah. He asked the Chazon Ish, âWhatâs happening to us? How could it be that for hundreds, and for thousands of years we pray to leave the exile and to return to the Land of Israel, and finally, finally we make it to the Land of Israel and this is what we see? Zionists, this governmentâŚfor this we came?â The Chazon Ish really loved his question.

âThe Chazon Ish answered, âYouâre right, but also the Erev Rav [the Mixed Multitude] deserves their share.â He also asked him how much time will âtheir shareâ be here. He answered, âNot long.â Then the Chazon Ish said, âEven 50 years isnât a lot of time.â Since then, some 70 years have passed. He said 50 years isnât a lot of time. Also the Erev Rav, who were 40 years in the desert with Moshe Rabbeinu, deserve their share.â
âWeâre limiting [our words] and saying that not every person in the government itâs possible to say about him that heâs Erev Rav. There are good people and they represent the community.
âThe Chazon Ish said that after the Erev Rav rule here, there will be a period called the âtransition period,â and this is like the birth pangs before the arrival of the Redemption.  The transition period will be very, very hard -- many times overâŚmuch more than all the years which the Erev Rav ruled here -- in spirituality for the Jewish people. Rav Dovid Stern said that the period which the Chazon Ish referred to as the transition period was the period of the Coronavirus. Now, weâre at the very end mamash.
âHe said that the Tzaddikim are working on bringing Mashiach with mercy until Nissan. Recently we publicized similar words from Rav Dovid Sterns daughter. Understandably, weâre talking here and not naming dates, but weâre being clear that Gedoley Yisrael, great TzaddikimâŚsee Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky say to those who ask, to not travel to outside Israel. Stay here because Mashiach is at the entrance. Tzaddikim live the Mashiach, any moment this will arrive.

âWeâre found in a spiritual Holocaust in the last generation. He said that the main point is acts of kindness and closeness between one another. Unity and acts of kindness are what draw close. Itâs written that one who wants to be saved from the birth pangs of Mashiach should involve himself in acts of kindness.
âSomeone who knows who is Rabbi Chaim Dovid SternâŚRabbi Yehuda Leib Leibowitz, who people say was the head of the Lamed-Vav Tzaddikim of the previous generation, said to one of Rav Sternâs sons, âKnow, that what I know also your father knowsâ â so much did he praise him.

âAlso Rav Stern said, âI met with Rabbi Eliezer Berland in the motel where he stayed next to the hospital in 5777, and there were all types of libels and evil rumors. [When] I was there I went down to the depths of his heart and saw that he was clean of all sin or stain. Rav Berland is completely clean, a complete Tzaddik.â This is the testimony of Rav Chaim Stern about whom Rav Zev Leibovitz testified to his greatness; so, he said about Rav Berland that he bears terrible suffering for the Jewish people, and that he took the harshest things, the most terrible and awful suffering.
âAs is well known, in the name of Rav Dov Kook, the Baba Elazar took upon himself death, Rav Berland took upon himself scorn and exile. Weâre found in a period when the darkness covers the land from every direction, and specifically during this period one needs to know that the Redemption is at the entrance. A person who has a point of truth, he wants the Godly light, he always waits for our righteous Mashiach.
âIncidentally, Rav Dovid Chaim Stern said, that according to what he knows, the Redemption should have come already in Tishrei of this year 5781, and it was pushed off until Nissan. He said, now we donât want this to be pushed off any more.  Thatâs it! We donât want this to be pushed off any more.â
