Residents of Petah Tikva, students of our Rebbe Rav Berland shlitâa merited to come last night, 9 Iyar, to a shiur in the home of the Rav shlitâa.
The participants in the shiur were a group which gathers weekly for a Torah lesson in the home of one of the group, meriting to draw close to and receive the Torah of the âFlowing stream, source of wisdomâ [Rebbe Nachman of Breslov] according to the unique path of Rav Berland shlitâa.
In the shiur, the Rav spoke about the matter of Avraham requesting from Sarahâs angel âso that it will go well with me for your sake, and that I may live on account of youâ (Breisheit 12:13) â so that her angel would escort him since his angels had abandoned him when he descended to Egypt. After this, the Rav spoke about the value of peace in the home and the great obligation of honoring oneâs wife and speaking to her encouraging words. Likewise, the Rav spoke about the secret of the âgreen lineâ in preparation for the upcoming celebration of Lag Omer.

Here is a portion of the awesome and fiery words of the Rav from the shiur:
âSo [if] a man doesnât know to tell his wife, âYou are the wisest. You are the most precious,â as itâs written âMy sister, My love, My dove, My perfect oneâ (Shir HaShirim 5:2). This is âmany women have amassed achievement, but you have surpassed them all.â We sing this on Shabbat evening after Maâariv. So whoever doesnât know to say this shouldnât get married. All of this is in the Zohar daf 42. A man needs to tell his wife âMany women have amassed achievement, [but you have surpassed them all].â You are the most wise, most wondrous woman. You are the most successful woman. Your are the most... woman. Donât say, âMy mother cooked better, and most sister cooks better.â
âA man needs to know that everything that he hasâŚeverything is in the merit of his wife!â
