Shiur for Bachurim at Home of Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlit"a

On Monday, the night of 28 Tevet, Parashat Bo, a shiur was held for the young men of our community at the home of Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a.  Here is a summary of the shiur that the Rav gave to the bachurim, which lasted about 45 minutes:

This year, Purim is "Meshulash" [e.g. Shushan Purim falls on Shabbat, so it is celebrated over the course of three days].  Anyone who prays later than neitz (the sunrise minyan), it's as if he jumped onto the train in the middle of travel.  The Israeli Supreme Court is a criminal organization with a white collar.  "The kings of the earth, all the dwellers of the world, did not believe that an oppressor and enemy would come into the gates of Jerusalem" -- for 800 years, they couldn't conquer Jerusalem.  Sanheriv came with a billion minus one -- the number is literal.  A person needs to learn the entire parashah with all the commentaries.  Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, for an entire year, learned only the parashah with the commentaries.  "Who and who are going" -- Pharaoh said that only Caleb and Yehoshua would go.  The mother of the hostage, Agam Berger, kept Shabbat, so she merited that her daughter will be released on Shabbat.  All the greatest heretics want a Torah scroll on Simchat Torah.  Miriam guarded Moshe at the river -- this was a life and death situation mamash.  It used to be that everyone was with a veil.  The Arabs understand that you need to cover the body of the serpent.  If a person makes the body of the serpent stand out, then they get cancer or get taken hostage to Gaza.  Pharaoh sent every day to kill Yocheved and Miriam, and they turned into walls and decorations.  Moshe Rabbeinu walked with the sheep, and they also didn't eat for forty days and forty nights.  And Eliyahu HaNavi also wanted the mouth of Moshe -- "Mouth-to-mouth, I speak to him" -- and didn't eat for forty days and forty nights.  Any person could not eat for forty days and forty nights, and in the merit of this, may we merit to the complete redemption speedily in our days, Amen.
