On Monday, Parashat Mishpatim, the night of 30 Shevat, a shiur was held in the home of Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlitâa for members of our community from the city of Bat Yam. The shiur lasted for around fifty minutes. Here is a summary of the topics covered during the shiur:
King Shapur asked the sages why there is an upper garden and a lower garden, and the difference is the green line. The secret of the green line is the joining of Rachel and Leah. Esther merited to the green line. A person comes to this world to merit to the green line. Miriam was unattractive, because Hashem saved her for Kalev ben Yefuneh. The green line is the secret at the end of [Tractate] Uktzin, that we conclude with a vegetable [yerek], which is the gematria of 310 worlds. For a person, how much he is put down and disparaged, he merits to the green line, and this is the secret of, âPrecious in the eyes of Hashem is the death of his pious ones.â Moshe argued with Hashem: I donât want to redeem Israel. Therefore, before he brought down the Torah, Hashem wanted to give the Torah through Rabbi Akiva.  Albert Einstein would understand all his studies during vacation, and he discovered the secret of splitting the atom. And the airplane was also invented by Jews. Moshe Rabbeinu saw that Rabbi Akiva was saying a halachah given to Moshe at Mount Sinai, but didnât understand what he was saying. He said, âShow me his reward,â and he saw them weighing his flesh at a slaughterhouse. He asked, âIs this the Torah and its reward?â HaKadosh Baruch Hu said to him, âQuiet, so it arose in thought in the beginning.â Only the Tzaddik merits to the green line, renewing months, and this is the dispute regarding the upper garden and the upper Tzaddik. You need to learn all the books, and likewise, the book of Rabbi Naftali Katz, which explains all of this. You need to be at his grave. Enosh, at the age of 694, began to become confused about who created the world. The emperor said to Rabbi Yehoshua ben Chananya, âYour G-d is the first thief. He stole the rib from Adam HaRishon.â His daughter responded, âI will answer, âThere were thieves who took the silver and left the gold behind.ââ The emperor replied, âThey should come every day.â Itâs the same thing: Hashem took a rib, but brought him a wife. The Midrash Rabbah says that the world is a sphere. They used to slaughter the Jews who said that the world was a sphere. The pope from the time of the Holocaust sent to Hitler a letter that his mission was to wipe out his Jews. In Europe, if you say that you want to murder the Jews, everyone votes for you. In America, itâs the opposite; they are descendants of Yefet. A bowl of silver is 930 (in Gematria). This is in order to rectify the 930 years that sparks came out of Adam HaRishon. The first declaration of surrender with Germany was on the Hilulah of Rashbi, and the final declaration of surrender with Japan was on the Hilulah of Rabbi Elazar, his son. The community of Makova was rescued on the last day, when they wanted to throw everyone into gas chambers, and then there was the surrender agreement. All the sparks that came out of Adam HaRishon over 930 years are Hamas, which now has held captives in chains for 500 days, and itâs impossible to speak about what the hostages went through there, may Hashem have mercy. But all the hostages keep Shabbat. Agam Bergerâs mother didnât want to travel on Shabbat, so her daughter was freed on Thursday.  The hostages sang Shabbat songs while in captivity. Everyone needs to sing Shabbat songs day and night. Every spark that comes out of a person is 400 million demons, and every Tikkun HaKlali kills all the demons that were created!
