Stop drowning in guilt

STOP DROWNING IN GUILT Continuing our new series translating the "You will Succeed!" book, containing more words of wisdom from Rabbi Eliezer Berland, Shlita. ==== The Rebbe tells us a secret: “There is such a thing that ‘everything will turn around for the good’.” The Rebbe says, even if I would do the biggest sin in the world, I would immediately continue on as before. Just afterwards, I would do teshuva. The fact that you’re performing transgressions – this is because of your previous incarnations. You’re from the Generation of the Flood, the Generation of the Dispersion, and so you are doing transgressions. So now what, you’re going to start feeling sorry for yourself, and to get all broken up? Start from now, for the next 120 years, to clean things up, slowly, slowly! Get some Torah into your head, some prayer, get some Likutey Moharan into your head! This will chase everything [bad] out, slowly, slowly. ==== A person comes to the world with all of his klipot (husks of evil) from his previous incarnations, from the time of the sin with the Tree of Knowledge. It could be that in his previous lifetime, he was a very big rasha (evildoer). Each person has some terrible klipot. And there is no such thing, as ‘failing’, spiritually. AND IN THE MEANTIME, YOU HAVE BAD THOUGHTS. So, you’re going to jump out of the window?! This isn’t useful advice. Slowly, slowly, you’ll neutralize them. Close your eyes, bend your head down, slowly, slowly, you’ll cleanse yourself. ==== There are people who are the soul spark from some tzaddik who didn’t rectify some sort of small blemish, and they have come to fix it. So, they have to stand up in that same test throughout their whole life. ==== "Once you blemish something in a previous lifetime, that very same thing will always pull you towards it again, back towards your old habits, Hashem should have mercy. And this matter, that we aren’t successful to atone for our transgressions in our prayers, is because the sin is not in our hands. Because only You know all the secrets of the world and the hidden mysteries of each living person. These are the hidden and concealed incarnations, and they continue to growl at us. They polluted us, and pull us towards every bad thing, Hashem should have mercy." * Tiferet Shlomo Me Radamsk, Parshat Vayeshayv, Ve’yomar Aleychem Reuven. ==== https://ravberland.com/no-one-can-ascend-continually/
