The Flame of the Seven Shepherds – The Holy Words of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a from the Yahrzeit of Moharanat

We are pleased to bring the holy words of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a from the unforgettable night of the yahrzeit of Moharanat of Breslov

"The yahrzeit day (10th of Tevet is the yahrzeit of Rabbi Natan of Breslov) is the greatest day of the year, it overrides Shabbat. If the 10th of Tevet falls on Shabbat, it is the day of Rabbi Natan, who encompassed all the tzaddikim, all seven shepherds: Moshe, Aharon, Yosef, and David. Moshe, Aharon, and even David and Shlomo, Yosef could have brought down a Holy Temple of fire. If the brothers had said 'Chalma Tava Chazita, Chalma Tava Chazita', the Zohar in Vayeshev says that the dream (of Yosef) would have been fulfilled at that exact moment. The dream was for the benefit of the brothers, Yosef speaks of the brothers receiving dominion over the entire earth"

"As it truly happened that Yosef became king during the years of famine and Yosef acquired everyone. All of Egypt and all seventy nations are servants of Israel, 'And his brothers also went and fell before him and said, Behold, we are your servants' (Genesis 50:18), Yosef purchased them with full money in exchange for the grain. Just as Haman is a servant of Mordechai until the end of generations, 'Descendants of Haman studied Torah in Bnei Brak' (Gittin 57b)."

"This is the secret of the goblet where the entire Torah is included. In the goblet is the entire Torah, the 13 attributes, the 13 attributes of mercy, and the name of 72. Hashem Elokai is exactly 72, as Yosef encompasses all the seven shepherds, Ben Porat Yosef, Porat is all the names, four fillings of Ekyeh, five fillings of Ekyeh, and four combinations of Havayah. The tzaddik is the name of Hashem, the tzaddik is the name of Havayah."

"Rabbi Natan merited the name Havayah," he merited the impregnation of Moshe Rabbeinu. Rabbi Natan merited that Moshe Rabbeinu impregnated him, Moshe revealed himself to him and said three words, 'Hast gut gemacht' (You did well with your books). For these three words, it is worth living sixty-five years, everyone should see before passing that Moshe Rabbeinu comes to him and says them."

"Today it is impossible to fulfill the Torah without Likutei Halachot. Without Likutei Halachot, he is called a magician, sorcerer, or Samaritan as it is written in Tractate Sotah 22a. A person without Likutei Halachot, everything he fulfills is 'mitzvot performed by rote.' He cannot reach the inner intention of the Torah, it is impossible to reach the reception of the Torah's face, to see the inner essence of the Torah. Like the method of Beit Shammai (regarding the lighting of Chanukah candles) where the divine light increases, because Shammai says that due to the abundance of light, the vessels are consumed."

"I always had a question why Shammai is greater than Hillel? And why the candles that are consumed are greater than Hillel? Now I saw an explanation for this, that it is not so, simply there are no vessels, the light is so great that all the vessels are consumed, leaving with one candle. In the end, it is such a great light, an infinite light, the light of the seven days, 'And he said to me, What do you see? And I said, I see, ׀ and behold a golden menorah all of it and its bowl on its top and its seven lamps upon it seven and seven pipes to the lamps which are upon its top' (Zechariah 4:2). Seven, seven, and seven, this is the number of Lamech's life days – 777, says Likutei Levi Yitzchak – the father of the last Rebbe, from here we see that the number 777 is the highest of all numbers. Light, water, firmament are 677 plus 100 blessings, a hundred sockets, and together 777."

"And Hashem said to Abram, Go forth from your land and from your birthplace and from your father's house to the land that I will show you" (Genesis 12:1) "Go forth" (Genesis 12:1) is the gematria of one hundred, that we should exit from the fifty gates of impurity and enter the fifty gates of kedushah. "From your father's house, and from your birthplace," these are the genes, a person acts according to the genes, but he needs to leave his genes and receive others, then he will be able to understand the inner essence of the Torah."

"And Jacob said to Joseph, El Shaddai appeared to me in Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me" (Genesis 48:3), the main thing is to reach Luz. To reach the morning, to reach the aspect of Leah."
