The Holiness of Shabbat -- Daily Chizzuk by Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlita

THE DAILY CHIZZUK WITH RABBI ELIEZER BERLAND SHLITA -- THE RAV'S HOLY WORDS WITH 8TH GRADERS IN TALMUD TORAH NECHEMAT TZION These are his holy words: It is barely permitted to sleep on Shabbat, barely... Shabbat isn't for words and not for [eating] seeds -- seeds are forbidden.  Whoever learns in Shuvu Banim, seeds are forbidden to him! This is just animal feed, to become corrupted -- not for Shabbat Kodesh. You can eat some sandwich, some cake -- not seeds. Every day finish Tehilim, learn Rishonim.  It's possible to finish Orchot Tzaddikim, with ease it's possible to finish the book -- to learn how much they were strict -- it's barely permissible to say "Shalom" [because of the holiness of Shabbat].
