The Only Counsel is Faith and Trust – Daily Chizzuk by Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlit”a

The Only Counsel is Faith and Trust – Daily Chizzuk by Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlit”a

The Daily Chizzuk by Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit”a

Sunday, 17 Kislev 5786 – “One needs to learn Gemara every day”

These are his holy words:

Like Rabbi Chanina ben Dosa, when there was an argument between the shepherd and the land owner.

The land owner asked the shepherd: “Why did you run away? Why are you running away?So what about the lion? What happened? Are you afraid of the lion? Why?”

“I will pray.I will do hitbodedut for you, that you will have courage, that you won’t be afraid of lions!”

“Even better, if you had been there, you would have had counsel – it’s forbidden to flee!!!You would have had counsel, some counsel would have occurred to you how to subdue the lion!!!To throw some stone at it.Something.If you fled, it’s over. There’s nothing to do.It devoured five sheep.”

It’s written about Yaakov Avinu that a lion would come out every day to devour five sheep, every morning and every evening.

Yaakov Avinu would perform brit milah for them – for the lion, for the sheep. He would circumcise them, because all the sheep reincarnated afterwards in the grandchildren of Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov – the seventy souls. They all reincarnated in the seventy souls.

Therefore, Yaakov would learn with them Gemara, Shas; Kitzot HaChoshen he learned with them.

One must study Kitzot HaChoshen every day, even with the sheep.Whoever has sheep should learn with them.
