The Shiur of the Rav Sweetens All the Judgements â The Daily Chizzuk by Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlitâa
THE DAILY CHIZZUK WITH OUR REBBE RAV ELIEZER BERLAND SHLITâA â âWHEN YOU COME TO THE SHIUR OF THE RAV, THE JUDGEMENTS ARE SWEETENEDâ âHE ZEALOUSLY AVENGED MY VENGEANCE AMONG THEMâ (BAMIDBAR 25:11) SUNDAY, 3 KISLEV 5783 â âZIMRI WAS AS RIGHTEOUS AS COULD BE, BUT HE NEEDED A RECTIFICATIONâ These are his holy words: Because Purim is above all the Chagim. Itâs greater than Yom Kippur. On Purim, itâs possible to sweeten everything. Thereâs no judgement that you donât sweeten on Purim. Also if you hear a Torah shiur, it sweetens all the judgements. Rabbi Eliezer said to Rabbi Akiva, âIf you had come to all the shiurim, you wouldnât have had to go through all the suffering that you went through and what you will still go through.â Because Rabbi Akiva was a reincarnation of Zimri.  A person can be Rabbi Akiva, but he was a reincarnation of Zimri. You came to rectify Zimri. > Zimri was as righteous as could be, but he needed a rectification. So he reincarnated in Rabbi Akiva with all his students â he had 24,000 students. âHe zealously avenged my vengeance among themâ (Bamidbar 25:11), that Pinchas went and killed Zimri, who was such a tzaddik, so God-fearing. This was already at the age of 250.
