Those who didn't kneel to the Baal

THE 7,000 WHO DIDN'T KNEEL TO THE BAAL Excerpt of a shiur given over in Uman, the First Day of Rosh Hashana, after the evening prayers, by Rabbi Eliezer Berland, shlita. NOW WE FIND OURSELVES SPENDING TWO DAYS IN THE KADOSH KADOSHIM (HOLY OF HOLIES). Throughout the whole of Rosh Hashana, we are in the kadosh kadoshim. By Rabbenu, this is the holy of holies. Everyone who came, Rabbenu brought him. A person can’t come unless Rabbenu brings him. 20,000 people came to Uman and here there are 4,000, but the ikker (main thing) is the gathering at the Kloiz. RABBENU IS TO BE FOUND AT THE KLOIZ. People don’t know this. Rav Natan says that [on Rosh Hashana] Rabbenu is to be found in the Kloiz. Rabbenu is not to be found in the Tzion. It’s possible to go to the Tzion, and to recite a Tikkun Haklali, and Psalms, and Likutey Tefillot - but Rabbenu is here. 90% of the people don’t know this, because they didn’t come to the Torah classes of Rabbi Levi Yitzhak [Bender], and they went against Rabbi Levi Yitzhak, and excommunicated him - but Rabbenu is to be found here. ==== THERE ARE 4,000 PEOPLE HERE. It’s written in Kings that 7,000 remained, who didn’t kneel to the Ba’al. The Chesed L’Avraham [https://ravberland.com/the-7000-people-of-the-chesed-lavraham/] wrote in Part 22 that in the future, there will remain just 7,000 people in Eretz Yisrael. For everyone who comes here [to Uman], all his sins are forgiven. And the ikker is to not do [any more] from now on. The ikker is to stop with all the lusts and the idol worshipping and the ‘altars’, because making altars is forbidden. We are meant to sacrifice korbanot to Hashem on one single altar. It’s written in the Gemara in Kritot that even today, it’s still permitted to a non-Jew to sacrifice on an altar - behold, in Miami it’s possible to make an altar. > But the ikker is to stop from now, and not just to do whatever I feel like. NOW, IT’S WAS PARSHAT NITZAVIM, WE COME TO UMAN FOR NITZAVIM. It’s written: “And it will be that when he hears the words of this imprecation, he will bless himself in his heart, saying, “Peace will be with me, though I walk as my heart sees fit” - (Devarim 29:18). This is doing whatever I feel like. We have to stop doing whatever I feel like. So, we need to see to it that we go to the Ramad Valley. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tell_Ramad] IN EKRON, THERE WAS AVODA ZARA (IDOL WORSHIP), A [STATUE OF A] ZVUV (FLY) THAT WAS 20 METRES HIGH. And Hezkiyahu destroyed all of the idol worship. So Ravshaka said to him, Hashem won’t help you, because these are altars for Hashem, for David and Shlomo didn’t destroy them, and neither did Jehosaphat, and neither did Asa. They averted their eyes, so how do you dare?! So, Hashem won’t help you. You are destroying the altars of Hashem. And so, Hezkiyahu went to sleep. What is this, to go to sleep? He made his Seder Night, and so the Angel of Hashem departed, this is the Redeeming Angel, and struck the camp of Ashur, 180,000 [died). And this was on Seder night. > Everything happened on Seder night. Translated from Shivivei Or, #112 ==== https://ravberland.com/first-pictures-of-rabbi-berland-in-uman-5780/
