We don't want the 'mitzvah' of lashon hara
SHUVU BANIM DOESN'T WANT THE 'MITZVA' OF LASHON HARA Translated from Sichot HaRav, a collection of some of the conversations of Rabbi Eliezer Berland, shlita. There is a mitzvah to speak lashon hara (evil speech), to talk about this one, and to talk about that one, and to accuse this one. I DONāT WANT THESE TYPES OF MITZVOTH. Itās written in Likutey Tefilot (134), I donāt seek out these types of mitzvoth. If you would tell me that Iāll get olam haba (the world to come) if I talk about someone, I donāt want this sort of mitzvoth. This type of mitzvah, I donāt want. Itās a mitzvah to talk about this one, and to slander that one ā itās a very important mitzvah! BUT SHUVU BANIM CANāT FULFILL EVERY MITZVAH. Itās hard. Rabbi Natan said: āHave mercy on my soul, and guard me, that I donāt make myself err, to say that itās a mitzvah to talk about these people.ā Itās a mitzvah to talk about this one, itās a mitzvah to talk about that one. Itās terribly important to talk about this person! But, I canāt fulfill the whole Torah, Iām a weak person, I can only observe the mitzvoth to speak about good things, and to say words of encouragement. I canāt speak words of obloquy, I donāt have the strength, Iām a weak person. I DONāT WANT TO DO THESE TYPES OF MITZVOT. But itās a very important mitzvah!! You will get olam haba!! You will get an infinite Gan Eden!!! Iām giving up on Gan Eden. I donāt want this sort of āGan Edenā. I want to have Gan Eden here [in this world]. Iām not interested in seeking out these sorts of mitzvoth ā not them, and not their rewards. The āenormousā reward youāll get, for talking about someone, the truck that will show up with so very much reward for you. Thereāll be a fleet of trucks, bringing all the reward. BUT I DONāT HAVE ANYWHERE TO PUT ALL THAT REWARD. Shuvu Banim is full of weak people. Not these mitzvoth, and not their rewards. There are mitzvoth that Shuvu Banim just doesnāt do them ā the mitzvah to speak lashon hara and to slander someone else. Iām not interested in seeking these out, says Rabbi Natan. I donāt want these types of āmitzvotā. Not them, and not their reward. > āHave mercy on my soul, and guard my neshama.ā > > ==== > > https://ravberland.com/839-prayer-to-be-rescued-from-lashon-hara/
