“With Drums and with Dances” – The Daily Shiur with Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlit”a
THE FULL TRANSLATED DAILY SHIUR OF OUR REBBE RAV ELIEZER BERLAND SHLIT”A, GIVEN ON TUESDAY, THE NIGHT OF 4 SHEVAT, PARASHAT BO, AFTER MAARIV: “Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aharon, took her drum in her hand [and all the women went forth after her] with drums and with dances” (Shemot 15:20). The whole parasha talks about drums and dances. Because the parashah of the Manna is drums and dances – this is chapter 16, verse 17, that the whole Alef-Bet is only that every letter sings and every letter dances. And Serach bat Asher, in the merit of her only dancing all day, she merited to revive – “the spirit of Yaakov, their father, was revived” (Bereishit 45:27), and she entered with her body to the Garden of Eden. Every woman who dances enters with her body to the Garden of Eden. THE SHIUR BEGINS AT TIMECODE 1:00:15
