You Need to Seal Up the Breach – Daily Chizzuk with Rav Eliezer Berland Shlit”a

YOU NEED TO SEAL UP THE BREACH – DAILY CHIZZUK WITH RAV ELIEZER BERLAND SHLIT”A THE DAILY CHIZZUK OF OUR REBBE RAV ELIEZER BERLAND SHLIT”A – “UPON THE ONE WITH GREATNESS IN DOMINION AND BOUNDLESS PEACE” Tuesday, 2 Iyar 5782 – “You need to seal up the breach.” These are his holy words: Now we’re after Passover, after the splitting of the Red Sea, that the sea was split – this is called a closed [letter] Mem. Because there is a closed Mem and an open Mem.  The closed Mem is "לםרבה המשרה" (“Upon the one with greatness in dominion”) – “Upon the one with greatness in dominion and boundless peace” (Yeshayahu 9:6). The open Mem is, “[They breached] the walls of Jerusalem, which are breached” (Nechemiya 2:13) – the walls are “breached.” TODAY, THEY ARE NO WALLS.  WE HAVE NO WALLS.  THE WALL WHICH IS IN THE OLD CITY ISN’T [PART OF] THE WALLS.  EVERYTHING IS BREACHED.  SO YOU NEED TO SEAL UP THE BREACHED MEM. Because the Mem which is breached is the open Mem.  So the moment that we close the breached Mem, the Mem of Marbeh HaMisrah (greatness in dominion) will be opened. This is the Breisheit (in the beginning).  Eliyahu HaNavi says that this is written M’reisheit (from the beginning), and Hashem turned the Mem into a Bet, [He] opened up the Mem. Because the entire work is to open the closed Mem, and this is through the women who didn’t agree in any way to Pharaoh’s decree. They prayed for nine months, and whoever didn’t pray, they put her child in the wall.  But those who prayed, angels came [to save them]. The [Egyptian] commando ambushed every woman, put four-year-old children at the entrance [when they were supposed to give birth].  At the moment that the woman gave birth, she immediately gave a scream.  It’s impossible without a scream.   At the moment that she gave a scream, right away the children called over the commando. The commando wanted to snatch the baby, but the angels preceded them.  The angels immediately said to the women, “Run quickly!”  All the angels came, helped the righteous women, and in this way Israel went out of Egypt.
