FOLLOWING THE DESTRUCTION OF THE “MINIATURE TEMPLE” AND AWFUL DESECRATION OF HASHEM’S NAME, IN ADDITION TO THE ONGOING HARASSMENT OF THE SHUVU BANIM COMMUNITY BY THE JERUSALEM MUNICIPALITY – A COMMUNITY THAT FOR NEARLY FOUR YEARS HAS PRAYED EVERY DAY AND EVERY SHABBAT UNDER THE OPEN SKY, WITHOUT A PERMANENT STRUCTURE WORTHY OF IT BY RIGHT AND NOT BY FAVOR – THOUSANDS OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS, TOGETHER WITH THE COMMUNITY’S RABBIS AND LED BY MOREINU HARAV ELIEZER BERLAND SHLIT”A, WENT OUT TO PROTEST THE DESECRATION OF HASHEM’S NAME, THE DESECRATION OF THE MINIATURE TEMPLE, AND THE TRAMPLING OF HOLINESS. The entire purpose of Shuvu Banim is only to bring all Am Yisrael back in teshuva – this is the only goal. Today there are 500,000 people who have fallen away [from mitzvah observance – called “noshrim” in Hebrew]. Every day there are a thousand new people who fall away. The task of Shuvu Banim is to bring back in teshuva all those who have fallen away, to build here a 25-story building.
